When writing against deadline…All of the emotions, then adrenaline in the last couple edits before filing…then more adrenaline and mostly trepidation in the post-filing readthrough…then, crash: zero emotions; only have bandwidth for food, trash tv, and bed…(applies to major projects like a brief or really extensive motion that is client and time sensitive).
I don't do a lot of serious legal writing, but I enjoy it when I do. I was a History major, so I'm no stranger to writing. I also appreciate how the tips and tricks I learn from you, Melanie! I imagine at some point in my career, I'll be doing more writing.
